Ukraine to receive EUR 1.5 billion from the EU macro-financial assistance package

Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis announced the transfer of the second tranche of macro-financial support to Ukraine worth EUR 1.5 billion out of an EUR 18 billion aid package.

“The EU is committed to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes,” he assured.

Slovak government approved delivery of 13 fighter jets to Ukraine

Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger said that the Slovak Cabinet of Ministers had approved the delivery of 13 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.

"The Slovak government just approved sending 13 MiG-29s to Ukraine! Promises must be kept and when President Zelenskyy asked for more weapons including fighter jets, I said we’ll do our best. Glad others’re doing the same. Military aid is key to ensure Ukraine can defend itself and the entire Europe against Russia," the prime minister wrote.

In Bakhmut, border guards 'demilitarized' a Russian assault group using mortars

Ukrainian border guards fired mortars at a Russian assault group in Bakhmut. They also destroyed an enemy munitions depot.

“In Bakhmut, border guards and mortar operators destroyed an enemy assault group. They also 'demilitarized' the Wagner's forward detachment with an accurate shot at an ammunition cache,” the press service reported.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Putin

This is reported on the International Criminal Court's official website.

“Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court issued warrants of arrest for two individuals in the context of the situation in Ukraine: Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Ms Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova,” the statement says.

The ICC's decision is related to the war crimes of Putin and Lvova-Belova. They are suspected of illegal deportation of the Ukrainian population, including children.
